Further Loughborough Rabbit Graffitti & Town

Early morning mosey about town (Loughborough) looking for further rabbits and came across this strange clock surrounded by 2 plaster heads in a window. Thought it worthy of a mention. 9

Coppiced tree in the town centre -   Can't wait till a few months when  they are a-sprouting and can forget the nobbly look



Sock man looks out on an empty market place, well will be for a short while until the Loughborough Frog and Nightgown opens AKA the Moon and Bell. 3 awaiting for the strike of 8am for beer and bacon!  I will happily explain why F&N as opposed to M&B anytime - phrase coined by Derek Austin (Dad)



So without further ado.... above spotted top end of the market - below in Churchgate

Past the No Rabbit Zone and found these 2 scampers hiding near to Echos Nightspot

Hopefully I may find some more and will post these on here when I do, as they will soon be wiped

Loughborough's Rabbits

I first spotted the Loughborough Rabbits about 3 weeks ago, possibly have been around much longer than this,alas  my most sought after black rabbit  is no longer in existance, this may have given a clue as to WTF for or who is this poor man's Banksey. Somebody informed me of a penultimate stencil which had much writing inside it and having investigated its former whereabouts I can confirm this has been erased. By whom? certainly not the 2 shops on either side of the alley - could be the council?  Answers on a postcard please!

So just for the  lack of other things to do on a saturday morning  I found the first couple and followed the rabbit trail

Mr Sainsbury of Loughborough must be quite displeased as also the Schofield Centre. A  hairdressers also hit on Ashby Road

I may investigate further to see if indeed the rabbit zone ended here!

2 spotted on the High Street and the only one i saw which was in colour

 Is it possible these belong to the culprit?

New Man takes Shape

And the new man is now starting to look a bit better, mum is starting to dress him and is in the midst of making him coat.. can't wait till he gets his feet and hands, he is always perched on the end of the table and his horrible hooks are always on show.  Hurry up and cook him some parts mum!

Sunday visited Right Here, Right Now Exhibition on Street Photography in Derby

WOW... I need to return and see many artist's work I just didn't have time to view.  Such alot of exceptional pieces  including these few of my favourites in the market square.

This one had me sniggering.. loved it

'So true' she says knowing that she must practice more to achieve some eye-pleasing shots

Orville Robertson, what a photographer, loved his work. His fantastic use of light is so wonderful.  If I lived in a normal house then I would definately be hanging a few of his.  William Austin and Steve Noon (you can see both of their galleries to the right of my blog - The Racket & Stevan Noon Photograpy)  also make good use of light - take a look!  

I also enjoyed viewing Peter Dench and his quirky humourous depiction of people shots

Shots taken yesterday at Gem's. Jak normally is a whirlwind and a sports setting is normally required to capture however he was in the mood for a few poses and this is the result.

The play week is over and at last I have found time to develop and post a few photos from the rehearsals and some taken on show nights.  Really enjoyed it and great to be back with the Festival Players.
