Barrow dragon boat race

Sunday after work.. headed off to Barrow upon Soar the annual Dragon Boat Race/ Solo trip out. So there are a few teams and they compete against each other.. What a suprise i had.

so this is one team

of males.

and another team of females who are from a restaurant in Mountsorrel with their fearsome looking skipper

Think these may have been the Barrow team ,, just goin on the name on the banner hee hee

A lovely pylon set in the lush fields of Barrow.. just typing the name.. ohhhhh i adore these creatures and have a host of them.. apparently there is a new design of english pylons about to hit.. can't wait to see

ha ha ha.. and the girls win.. such a look of joy on their faces and dumbfounded disbelief on the males..

Bruntingthorpe Air Show

Sunday at a loose end saw me heading off to Bruntingthorpe to see Lynn and see an air show

Remember what 2 of the aircraft were but not the following

Bank holiday toilet queuing  and considered this for 'i hate this' subject for the challenge

and this is the girl.. The Vulcan.... respected, revered and has lots of friends.. she was flying at 5.30pm but I have to say girly chicken out.. couldnt stand the noise
