A fabulous artist, my mother
I absolutely adore my mother Mary Austin, she is such a talented artist, one who can construct a painting from the ideas in her head, one who does not need to feed off a photograph, over the years since I was tiny I remember her painting, live models,street scenes, nudes.. she is truly talented and I hope that she is recognised and feted very soon. Her work is truly original ... I am proud to know this talented person and blessed she is my mother

Ahhh how to find a way to stop the clocks and just be
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

No time
I wish there was more time
Time not to watch clocks
Not to waste, Time
Time is to be treasured
I wish there was more, Time
Stand and Stare
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this is if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
