New Forest and Monmouth

Weekend with Pen Part 1  riding about New Forest & Monmouth

First of 2 large abbeys and numerous churches 1st stop Tewkesbury Abbey

The Maize Maze - spotted on the way

Puzzlewood in the New Forest.. below pig of 32 stone big fat pig

so we got to the forest about 5.00pm and it closes at 5.30pm and still the same price to get in.. car park locks at 6.30pm.   and its gloomy
taken before we realised that not only were we the only ones in the wood but we found both dead ends and lil bit of panic slipping on the red mud

didnt think too much about the New Forest unless you like trees of course ha ha.. but the lil townie places were not that enticing to stay in however got a good shot in one town

Enter lovely Monmouth.. beautiful town  = walking round the streets

Jim the local street man with his 4 hats

this street was a little bewildering

the beauty of the town - surrounded by beautiful lush countryside

View from the pub staying in and only £40 for the room.. woke up and looked up and huge horsey bits bridley things dangling.. not really my cup of tea must have been a tad merry not to have noticed these the night before
